Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances Brown) has been publicly shamed for tormenting Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) in Coronation Street.

For weeks, he’s been on the receiving end of a vile, online hate campaign. Someone was posting under the name of Truthteller, claiming that he enabled ex-girlfriend Megan Walsh’s (Beth Nixon) abuse of their student Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale).
Daniel finally seemed to be out of the woods when the posts vanished, though an imitation account was soon launched under the name Truthteller2. A group of teenage lads ambushed him in the street, and targeted him with ketchup bottles.
Upon his return to work this week – after a period of suspension for lashing out towards Hope Dobbs (Isabella Flanagan) – a number of pupils began asking questions about his relationship with Megan. Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) purposely bumped into him in the corridor, causing his new ‘World’s Best Teacher’ mug to smash.
Falling to the ground, Daniel began to suffer a panic attack.

In today’s episode, more posts had appeared from Truthteller2. Jodie looked shifty, wanting to conceal the fact she’d created the original account so that she could continue living with him.
She hoped that he would need a shoulder to cry on, and ask her to stick around longer. However, upon seeing the devastating impact it was having on him, she closed down the profile.
Daniel became suspicious when he trawled through more of the poisonous messages on his laptop. A seemingly innocent comment from Jodie about an isolated reply he’d sent to Truthteller suddenly made everything click into place and, to his horror, he knew she was the person behind the turmoil.
Furious, he confronted her, unleashing his anger over the sleepless nights, anxiety and misery he believed she had inflicted while pretending to be a trusted ally.
Despite Jodie’s insistence that she had no connection whatsoever to the mysterious Truthteller2 account, Daniel refused to listen and ordered her out.
Later, after drowning his sorrows in the Rovers, he publicly accused her of being the online troll who had made his life a misery. Putting on a tearful display, Jodie made a swift exit and tried to deny everything.

Back at home, matters took an even darker turn. His young son Bertie (Henry Duggan) complained that he was hungry, but a heavily intoxicated Daniel was in no fit state to respond and soon passed out on the sofa.
Left to fend for himself, Bertie placed some food in the microwave, that was covered in tinfoil. Before long, smoke began billowing through the flat, prompting the frightened youngster to flee outside while Daniel remained completely oblivious.
Bertie rushed to No. 1, telling Adam (Sam Robertson) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) about what was unfolding. While Tracy made the youngster some food, Adam headed to the builder’s yard flat and turned the fire alarm off, glancing at Daniel in his drunken slumber.
Will he ever be able to recover?
