Aakhri Sawal, starring Sanjay Dutt, continues to generate attention ahead of its theatrical release on May 15, 2026. Following the teaser and trailer launch, the makers recently hosted a premiere event in New Delhi, which was attended by several prominent guests, including Rekha Gupta.

The special screening took place on May 13 and saw the Delhi Chief Minister watch the film alongside the cast and crew. After attending the premiere, Rekha Gupta shared her thoughts on social media, praising the film’s subject and storytelling.

“I had the opportunity to watch this special film with the star cast and team of the movie ‘Aakhri Sawal’,” she wrote on X.

The Chief Minister stated that the film attempts to present the “100-year inspirational journey” of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and its role in social service, organisation and nation-building.

“This film is an effort to powerfully present the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s 100-year inspirational journey, its contributions to nation-building, service, organization, and cultural consciousness. Several important episodes connected to the country’s social and ideological life have also been raised with seriousness,” her post read.

Rekha Gupta further reflected on the organisation’s contribution over the years, writing, “The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s 100-year journey has been a remarkable voyage of service, values, organization, and dedication to the nation. In every village and alley, the swayamsevaks of the Sangh have worked selflessly to organize social life, awaken national sentiment, and from disasters to social upliftment in every field.”

She also congratulated the film’s team, including director Abhijeet Mohan Warang and actors Sanjay Dutt, Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty and Sameira Reddy for what she described as a “meaningful endeavor.”

Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Abhijeet Mohan Warang, Aakhri Sawal has been positioned as an intense narrative rooted in socio-political themes. The film is presented by Nikhil Nanda and jointly produced by Nikhil Nanda and Sanjay Dutt.

The screenplay, story and dialogues have been written by Utkarsh Naithani. The project is also co-produced by Puneet Nanda, Dr. Deepak Singh, Gaurav Dubey and Ujjwal Anand.

With discussions around its theme and storytelling already gaining traction online, Aakhri Sawal is set to arrive in cinemas on May 15, 2026.
