Prime Video has officially announced the exclusive global streaming premiere of Drishyam 3, the latest installment in one of Indian cinema’s most successful thriller franchises. Headlined by Mohanlal, the much-awaited film will begin streaming on the platform from June 18 for viewers in India as well as over 200 countries and territories worldwide.

Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 3 is presented by PEN Studios and Panorama Studios and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. The film reunites franchise regulars Mohanlal, Meena, and Siddique, bringing back the story of George Kutty and his family after the events of Drishyam 2. The movie will be available in its original Malayalam version along with dubbed editions in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.

The third chapter picks up years after the events of the previous film, with George Kutty seemingly having achieved the stability and security he always desired for his loved ones. Having even transformed parts of his controversial past into a successful movie, George appears to have left his troubles behind. However, old secrets refuse to remain hidden for long.

The narrative takes a dramatic turn when two journalists begin digging into the real-life incidents that inspired his film. Simultaneously, what initially appears to be a carefully planned marriage proposal for his daughter Anju soon spirals into a deadly conspiracy. As familiar enemies resurface with renewed determination, George finds himself confronting his most personal and perilous challenge yet while trying to safeguard both his family and the secrets that continue to haunt them.

The streaming premiere of the thriller also forms part of Prime Video’s major entertainment slate leading up to Amazon Prime Day, which returns to India this July for its tenth edition.
