Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) was probably the most unlikely of the Dingle clan to target Emmerdale Farm.

He’s definitely a chip off the old block, as dad Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is often on the wrong side of the law. In fact, it’s because of Cain that Kyle has decided to take revenge, as explained in today’s episode.
It’s been a time of great upheaval for the family, who were turfed out of their home and business when matriarch Moira (Natalie J Robb) succumbed to pressure from Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and sold her share. Shortly afterwards, he installed Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) as tenant farmers.
Life at Wishing Well Cottage isn’t easy. There’s 7 of them under one roof, and with Cain dealing with the aftermath of his radical prostatectomy operation while trying to establish a new agricultural venture, he hasn’t got much time to spend with his sons.
Kyle was furious that his dad didn’t want to fix his vintage Volkswagen Golf, and decided to bunk off school.

He hid in one of the barns, and watched as Cain attended to Kammy Hadiq’s (Shebz Miah) living situation. The Dingles discovered he was homeless, and after a night on the sofa, needed a better living situation.
A caravan had been brought into the nearby scrapyard, and Cain thought it would make a perfect home for him.
Suddenly, Kyle was spotted peeking from behind a door, and he promised to return to school – but didn’t. Furious that his car was still needing repairs, he took it to the edge of the Dingles land and torched it.
Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) was walking nearby with his binoculars, determined to find the arsonist, and was shocked to see flames flooding into the air.
He rushed over and dragged Kyle to safety, quickly realising that he was responsible for what had happened. Suddenly, Moira clocked the fire and raced in the direction.

Graham ushered the teenager into his car to hide, and told Moira that he was going to drive in the direction of the person he saw at the scene. She didn’t look overly convinced that Graham wasn’t involved, but luckily for Kyle, he went unnoticed.
Driving Kyle to a country road, Graham explained that the blaze had brought back memories of the car accident that killed his late wife Cheryl and their unborn baby. After drunkenly crashing into a tree almost two decades ago, he called lover Kim Tate (Claire King) instead of the emergency services and the car exploded.
Graham urged the youngster to come clean, saying that he couldn’t continue behaving irresponsibly. If Kyle didn’t speak to Cain and Moira, Graham would.
What will Kyle do?
