Test cricket is an endurance sport. This summer’s series between England and New Zealand will be settled across 15 days – assuming all three matches go the distance.

The early signs are that we could well be in for a thriller. Ben Stokes’s side need to bounce back from another Ashes embarrassment and coach Brendon McCullum is under pressure to repay the faith shown him by the decision makers.
New opener Emilio Gay and returning seamer Ollie Robinson are among the additions that the hosts hope can turn fortunes around, but much will hinge on the performances of the usual suspects, such as Joe Root, Harry Brook, and the captain himself.
If England aren’t up to it, then they will be exposed by a well-drilled New Zealand team with a functional batting line-up and a probing seam attack.
The problem with a 15-day series is that watching every moment of the action is nearly impossible, but that’s where the highlights come in, allowing you to catch up on all the best bits from Lord’s through to Trent Bridge.
