England continue their preparation for next month’s Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup on home turf with a three-match series against India.
The hosts are still missing captain Nat Sciver-Brunt, who is now a doubt for the start of the tournament, but claimed an impressive T20 series win against New Zealand under stand-in skipper Charlie Dean by thrashing the White Ferns in the decider.
Their next opponents should pose a tougher test as India are tipped as one of the favourites for the upcoming World Cup after winning the 50-over tournament late last year.
The tourists could well be England’s opponents in the semi-final or final of next month’s tournament so, while these games are a warm-up, both teams will be keen to lay a marker.
The series promises to be a thrilling appetiser ahead of the Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup – and there is extensive coverage of all three matches.
