This is your captain speaking.” Paramount Pictures has revealed a new trailer for the 40th anniversary re-release of the fighter jet movie classic Top Gun, starring the iconic Tom Cruise as the fighter pilot Maverick. The sequel arrived in 2022 and was a huge hit worldwide. Now they’re bringing both of them back for a one week run – you can see both movies back-to-back together in IMAX in May this summer. If you feel the need… Two films. One big screen. Back in theaters on May 13th – for one week only. A class of elite, hot shot Navy pilots at the Fighter Weapons School known as Top Gun push their aircraft and each other to the limits as they compete to be the best of the best. Tom Cruise stars as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in the iconic 1986 blockbuster that defined a generation. The original Top Gun from 1984 stars Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards, Tom Skerritt, Tim Robbins, & John Stockwell. Both of these movies are awesome! And the original, a Tony Scott classic, is still one of the most intense airplane action films ever made. Never forget Goose! Go enjoy both of them on the big screen again.
