“I can help them!” “That is not your mission.” Stick to the mission – or else you’re in trouble. Elli Films has released the official trailer for an indie sci-fi film titled Voidance, made by filmmaker Marianna Dean and ready for release starting in May. This is a shoestring budget project, a very indie production but of course they deserve respect for pulling off a high concept film without much (money) to work with. “A sci-fi thriller set on a remote station, where nothing is what it seems.” To join the elite ATIC Guard, Alana Toro must pass one final test: enter a simulation, prevent a terrorist attack, and prove her loyalty. Every mistake resets the clock. Every death disappears – except in her memory, where the weight keeps building… The more Alana learns, the more she begins to question the organization she fought so hard to join. Voidance starts James Cosmo, Zoe Cunningham, Neil Bishop, Mim Shaikh, Billy Price, and Chris Charles. This film will be out on VOD to watch soon. The plot seems obvious about what is really going on with this ATIC company.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Marianna Dean’s indie film Voidance, direct from YouTube:

In order to become an ATIC agent, Alana Toro faces her final assessment. Inside a simulated space station bar, she must prevent a terrorist attack before it happens. Each failed attempt allows her to restart the scenario, but with limited chances to get it right. As Alana navigates a cast of guarded and unpredictable patrons, gaining trust proves as difficult as identifying the threat itself. With each attempt, new details emerge and assumptions shift, forcing her to rethink who she can rely on. As the pressure builds, Alana is pushed towards an unorthodox solution, one that may challenge everything ATIC expects of her. Voidance is directed by British indie filmmaker Marianna Dean, director of the film Breaking Infinity and work on the series “Hollyoaks”, “Emmerdale Farm”, “EastEnders” previously. The screenplay is written by Simon X. Frederick. Produced by Zoe Cunningham, Marianna Dean, Tom Taplin. This is premiering at the 2026 Sci-Fi-London Film Festival. Elli Films releases Voidance direct-to-VOD worldwide starting May 27th, 2026.
