“Are you gonna tell me what’s really going on?” Peacock has revealed the first look teaser trailer for a new mini-series called The Five-Star Weekend, about a food influencer who gets a little support from four of her friends. Adapted from the novel of the same name by Elin Hilderbrand and set for a streaming debut on Peacock starting in July this summer. A food blogger tries to combat loss by recreating a five-star weekend with her friends on the island of Nantucket. It was actually filmed on location on Nantucket in September last year. Featuring an impressive cast: Jennifer Garner as Hollis Shaw, Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, Gemma Chan, D’Arcy Carden, Harlow Jane, and Timothy Olyphant as her first boyfriend Jack. A beloved food influencer grapples with figuring herself out after a loss and hosts four friends from different chapters of her life for a weekend in Nantucket, where hidden truths emerge and relationships evolve amid coastal luxury. Very curious to see what kind of drama floats up in this story as the vacay weekend plays out.
Here’s the first look teaser for Peacock’s series The Five Star Weekend, direct from YouTube:

The Five Star Weekend is a series centered on Hollis Shaw (starring Jennifer Garner), a famed cook and best selling author known for her delicious recipes, impeccable taste, and warm demeanor, who suffers a devastating loss. Unable to move forward, the death starts to expose the cracks in Hollis’s picture-perfect life—her strained marriage, her complicated relationship with her daughter, and her growing pursuit of validation from her fans. In an effort to overcome grief and find herself again, Hollis gets the idea to host a weekend away at her house on Nantucket with three friends from different stages in her life: her childhood, her twenties, thirties, and one surprise fifth star. Set against a luxurious and coastal backdrop, the stars will mature in ways they could never imagine as boundaries are pushed and secrets are exposed.
The Five-Star Weekend is a drama mini-series created by the TV producer / writer Bekah Brunstetter, who previously wrote for “Switched at Birth”, “This Is Us”, “Maid”, “I Promise You”, and “Sirens”.
