It all comes down to this: From is returning for one final season on MGM+, which will likely determine whether its remembered as a modern sci-fi gem or yet another show that failed to stick the landing.

There’s been a lot of underwhelming finales going around lately, with Stranger Things and The Boys both dampening the enthusiasm of their respective fanbases with fumbled fifth entries.
We have our fingers crossed that From can buck this worrying trend with a stellar conclusion, which will hopefully deliver some of the answers that fans have eagerly sought after for years.
The series explores the bizarre, and often terrifying, goings-on in a cursed town, where the tormented residents find themselves unable to leave for reasons beyond their comprehension – for now.

From season 5 release date speculation

From season 5 does not yet have a confirmed release date, but we do know that it will premiere at some point in 2027.
MGM+ confirmed this launch window when it formally renewed From for one last hurrah in April, mere days after season 4 began, with filming due to take place this year in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Series bosses John Griffin, Jeff Pinkner and Jack Bender said in a joint statement: “We are wildly excited to announce that we’ve officially begun work on season 5, which means we will get the chance to see our story to its conclusion.”
“Which means questions will be answered,” they continued, “answers will be questioned, and there will surely be a cascade of tears and terrors in-between.”

From season 5 plot: What could happen?

From season 5 has the unenviable task of wrapping up the show’s tangled web of mysteries, with fans hoping for satisfying answers after years of speculation and suspense.
In an interview with Radio Times, From star Harold Perrineau said that the delayed gratification is “the fun part” of the show, and that if answers were more forthcoming than it would have been “over” long ago.
“Here’s the thing that’s been really great and creative about the way that John’s written [From]… Some of the answers, some of the clues, are so subtle that you are not going to know for a long time,” he teased.
“When they pay off, you’ll be like, ‘oh, wow, that was, that was slick’.”
It will be interesting to revisit these words at the end of season 5 and see if they proved to be true. We’re cautiously optimistic that From can avoid the last-minute tumbles that scuppered Stranger Things, Game of Thrones and (arguably) Lost.
