“Well, this weekend’s gonna be a hoot!” Peacock has unveiled the full official trailer for a mini-series titled The Five-Star Weekend, about a foodie who gets a little support from four of her friends. It’s a weekend of old friends catching up and discussing their worries. When they start to really be honest with each other, they start to understand each other. Adapted from the novel of the same name by Elin Hilderbrand and set for a streaming debut on Peacock starting in July. A food blogger tries to combat loss by recreating a five-star weekend with her friends on the island of Nantucket. It was actually filmed on location on Nantucket in September last year. The series stars Jennifer Garner as Hollis Shaw, Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, Gemma Chan, D’Arcy Carden, Harlow Jane, and Timothy Olyphant as her first boyfriend Jack. A beloved food influencer grapples with figuring herself out after a loss and hosts four friends from different chapters of her life for a weekend in Nantucket, where hidden truths emerge and relationships evolve amid coastal luxury. This looks cheesy but also wholesome and hopefully healing for anyone who needs this story.

The Five Star Weekend is a series centered on Hollis Shaw (starring Jennifer Garner), a famed cook and best selling author known for her delicious recipes, impeccable taste, and warm demeanor, who suffers a devastating loss. Unable to move forward, the death starts to expose the cracks in Hollis’s picture-perfect life—her strained marriage, her complicated relationship with her daughter, and her growing pursuit of validation from her fans. In an effort to overcome grief and find herself again, Hollis gets the idea to host a weekend away at her house on Nantucket with three friends from different stages in her life: her childhood, her twenties, thirties, and one surprise fifth star. Set against a luxurious and coastal backdrop, the stars will mature in ways they could never imagine as boundaries are pushed and secrets are exposed.
