The David Dhawan directed Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has scored decent results in advance bookings. As of Thursday at 8.30 PM, the comic caper starring Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur has sold around 25,000 tickets across the top 3 national chains – PVRInox and Cinepolis.
The comic entertainer is headed to close its advance around the 30,000 ticket mark, which sets itself up well for a start of Rs. 8 crore. The advances are 2x of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, and will be higher than De De Pyaar De 2 as well, which is a good indication.
If the reports land in its favour, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will emerge another success for the Hindi film industry after Bhooth Bangla, Dhurandhar 2, and Border 2. The advance sets up the film well for a start of sorts, and then it’s on the content to do the talking.
The advance will also be higher than other 2026 releases like Mardaani 3 and Chand Mera Dil in national chains. Talking of non-national chains, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has taken an encouraging start in single screens too in pre-sales, and the movement promises strong on the day walk-ins!
