Season 2 comes out May 6, 2026, comprising seven episodes. Its debut season notably had just six episodes. While many modern TV shows split their seasons into separate parts to build anticipation mid-season, Prime Video has opted against this trend for Citadel. Accordingly, if the show’s narrative continues, it will only do so in a potential third installment.

The show’s lead actress, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, addressed its future ahead of Season 2’s release. She told Variety, “We have Season 2, for sure, but the rest? I have no idea.” She further added, “I don’t ask. I go to work, do my job, and I leave.”
Rumors were claiming the second season was dealing with reshoots. However, the actress denied the reports in her interview withThe Playlist. “No, I don’t think there were major changes. I think we picked up where we left off in Season 1,” she said.
The series, created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil, stars the Indian star opposite Richard Madden. The supporting cast includes Stanley Tucci, Lesley Manville, and Ashleigh Cummings. It received a mixed critical reception, earning a 51% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
