“You keep chasing perfection, when maybe you should be chasing magic.” This can’t be real. This has to be a fake movie, right? There’s no way! It doesn’t look like a movie from Apple TV’s “The Studio”, it looks like something from SNL. It’s so bad it’s funny. It’s so cheesy it’s an instant Golden Raspberry winner. Angel has revealed the first look teaser trailer for the Hershey movie, about the origins of the iconic Pennsylvania chocolate company known as Hersheys. It began in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in as a candy shop in 1873, evolved into a caramel company in 1883, with Hershey Chocolate operating as its subsidiary. The very first Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bar was made in the year 1900. The film depicts this history of The Hershey Co, built by its founder Milton & his wife Kitty, and how their vision changed the world. Uh huh. Sure it did. A film by Mark Waters, with an ensemble cast featuring Finn Wittrock as Milton S. Hershey, Alexandra Daddario as Catherine “Kitty” Hershey, Alan Ruck, Richard Kind, David Costabile, Heléne Yorke. This sounds like a good story to tell, but this footage looks abysmal. So cheesy and cheap and amusing. Ugh.
Here’s the first look trailer (+ poster) for Mark Waters’ movie Hershey, direct from YouTube:
“Just about everyone knows the Hershey name through chocolate, but what immediately drew me to Milton’s story were the obstacles & struggles he overcame to achieve his success. And then, unlike many wealthy men of his time (and ours), he chose to share that success with the working people and the community around him. That spirit, embodied by the love story between Milton & Catherine Hershey, is the core of our movie, and led to the creation of the still-thriving Milton Hershey School.” –Director Mark Waters

The story of how one couple’s vision started a chocolate empire – and through it, changed the world. From director Mark Waters, Hershey brings to life the powerful story of a man who overcame early failure to build one of the world’s most iconic brands. Hershey is directed by American filmmaker Mark Waters, director of many hit movies including The House of Yes, Head Over Heels, Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Just Like Heaven, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Eva Adams, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Mr Popper’s Penguins, Vampire Academy, Bad Santa 2, Magic Camp, He’s All That, Mother of the Bride, and La Dolce Villa most recently. The screenplay is written by T.M. Hayes & Sharon Paul; from a story by Sharon Paul, Mark Waters, Will Hardy, Bubba Fulcher. Produced by Mary Aloe, Joshua Harris, Sharon Paul, Mark Tilghman, and Will Hardy. Angel Studios releases the Hershey movie in theaters at Thanksgiving 2026 in November this fall.
