Production has begun onHyde, a serial killer thriller starring Holt McCallany (Mindhunter), Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones),Bruce Greenwood (The Fall of the House of Usher) and David Harewood (Homeland) with filming taking place in Bucharest, Romania.

The cast will play a group of detectives setting out to catch a dangerous serial killer while the lead investigator, played by McCallany, has to deal with his own psychological issues during the case. Graham andParker Phillips(Rumble Through the Dark) are directing from a script they wrote.
McCallany will play Detective Grimes, a haunted investigator descending into the decaying underbelly of a crumbling metropolis while hunting a brutal serial killer. Emmanuel is Detective Doran, an officer assigned to shadow Grimes, with Greenwood as Henry Monroe, the therapist Grimes is mandated to see whose sessions begin to reveal the detective’s troubled past. Harewood meanwhile plays Robert Malloy, a lieutenant trying to hold an underfunded department together while hoping he can drag Grimes back from the edge.

“We’re thrilled to be working with such intelligent and collaborative actors,” the Phillips Brothers said. “Everyone arrived with bold ideas, strong instincts, and a real willingness to explore and take risks, all against the backdrop of Bucharest, whose architecture and atmosphere feel tailor-made for this twisted tale.”
“It’s a privilege to have Holt join and lead this cast alongside Nathalie, Bruce, and David. We could not be more excited about the team that has come together and the film we’re creating here in Romania. We cannot wait for audiences to experience Hyde,” added Jason Tamasco and Zak Kristofek of Traction, who are producing alongside the Phillips Brothers.
