The future of Invincible is looking more exciting than ever, with Jack Quaid set to join the cast of season 5, and the show officially being confirmed for season 6.

The official Invincible social media accounts confirmed news of the season 6 renewal, writing: “Mark, this is good news!!!!!!”
It’s also confirmed that The Boys star Quaid is set to play Gravitator (also known as Chris) in season 5, a gifted engineer who has a knack for thievery – before meeting Invincible.
Season 4 of the superhero series wrapped up earlier this year, with Mark (Steven Yeun) striking a deal with the villainous Thragg (Lee Pace). The finale episode also left plenty of questions as to what’s next for Mark and co in season 5.
Quaid isn’t the only cast member confirmed for the future of the show either. Intriguingly, Aaron Paul, who played Powerplex in past seasons, appeared to announce his return after he apparently declined to return for season 4.

Breaking Bad and BoJack Horseman star Paul teased his return with a story on Instagram, featuring an image of an Invincible script and the caption “Some light reading”.
Paul had previously stated on the Kinda Funny Games podcast that he had no interest in making a comeback due to the emotional toll of playing Powerplex.
“I did a couple of episodes, and they asked me to come back for next season, but I’ve got to tell you… that show, I’m such a fan of,” he said. “I watch every episode. I love it. It was just way too gruelling on my psyche. It was such an emotional… it was so much. I have such respect for what they’re doing.
“Powerplex, he’s not just messing around. He’s going through things – turmoil. And how I approach everything, I really put myself in that skin, and it was a skin I didn’t feel comfortable in, to be honest. I didn’t want to do it anymore..”
“I love you guys, I really do, and the thing is, everyone involved in that, that camp, is amazing. What it did to me, I didn’t like, so I couldn’t continue.”
As per Invincible’s annual schedule, season 5 is expected to air in February/March 2027 (although this has not been officially confirmed), and it stands to reason that season 6 would arrive in 2028.
