Now that we’re most of the way through June, like clockwork The Bear is about to return for a new season. Sadly, it will be for the last time, as season 5 will be the show’s final run.
The new season will see Jeremy Allen White’s Carmy, Ayo Edebiri’s Sydney, Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Richie and the rest of the team at the restaurant trying to keep it afloat by securing a Michelin star, and it will pick up the morning after Carmy made his fateful decision to leave the food industry for good.
Edwin Lee Gibson, who has played Ebraheim on the series since its very first season, has teased that the finale will be “gut-wrenching”.
He said: “We knew we were coming back last summer,” Gibson said of when he learned that the show would be getting a season 5. “We didn’t know that it was necessarily going to be the final series, but we kind of figured it out on set.
“Then when the final episode was sent to us, we were all like, [disappointed] ‘Ah!’ But you know, you want to go on top.”
Gibson continued: “And it was just nice to see how Christopher [Storer, creator] crafted season 5, so that the last episode, while it was gut-wrenching, it made sense. Of course, I think there’s still more story there.”
Now, there isn’t long left to wait until fans find out exactly how it all comes to an end. But at what time will the episodes be made available on Disney+?

The Bear season 5 will consist of eight episodes in total.
This is the same number of episodes as featured in season 1, while seasons 2, 3 and 4 contained 10 episodes.
