“I never said a word about what happened…” This looks proper scary! Apple TV has debuted their official trailer for their new Cape Fear series, a fresh adaptation of this unsettling story of a criminal coming back for revenge. It’s best known as the 1991 Martin Scorsese-directed movie starring Robert De Niro & Nick Nolte & Jessica Lange – which was nominated for 2 Oscars. The story is from the novel “The Executioners” by John D. MacDonald, which was also made into the 1962 film directed by J. Lee Thompson. This new take features each episode directed by a different unique filmmaker – with new episodes out each week. “Is there any way Max could know about what we did?” A storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna & Tom Bowden when Max Cady, the notorious killer they are responsible for putting behind bars, is let out of prison — and he wants vengeance. Executive produced by both Martin Scorsese & Steven Spielberg. This Cape Fear features Javier Bardem as Max, Amy Adams, Patrick Wilson, Joe Anders, Lily Collias, Malia Pyles, & CCH Pounder. Just like the first teaser, this final trailer feature some impressive editing. This looks totally messed up! Dark and wild and twisted with one helluva terrific cast to boot. I’m into this.
