Main Vaapas Aaunga continues to throw up an encouraging box office trend. After showing strong growth at the national chains and registering a Week 2 bigger than Week 1, the territory-wise break-up also confirms that the film has grown across most major circuits in its second week.
As per the circuit-wise data, Main Vaapas Aaunga collected Rs. 11.75 crores in Week 1 from the listed territories. In Week 2, the collections jumped to Rs. 20.25 crores, showing a sharp growth of around 72.3%. This is a highly unusual trend as most films usually see a drop in the second week after the initial curiosity and opening weekend push. In the case of Main Vaapas Aaunga, however, the second week has turned out to be significantly bigger than the first.
The biggest story has come from the northern markets. Delhi-UP jumped from Rs. 3.10 crores in Week 1 to Rs. 6.50 crores in Week 2, registering a massive growth of around 109.7%. East Punjab also delivered a terrific spike, growing from Rs. 1.65 crores to Rs. 3.25 crores, a jump of around 97%. Together, Delhi-UP and East Punjab contributed Rs. 5 crores of the total Rs. 8.50 crore week-on-week growth across the listed circuits, which means that nearly 59% of the overall incremental growth came from these two territories alone.
This clearly indicates that Main Vaapas Aaunga has found strong acceptance in the North belt. The growth in Delhi-UP is particularly significant as it is not just percentage-led but also strong in absolute terms. The circuit added Rs. 3.40 crores more in Week 2 than Week 1, which is the highest jump among all territories. East Punjab, too, has almost doubled over Week 1, proving that the film’s word of mouth has travelled well in the region.
Mumbai, the biggest contributor in Week 1, also showed a healthy rise. The circuit grew from Rs. 3.35 crores to Rs. 5.75 crores, a jump of around 71.6%. This is important because Mumbai had already started from a relatively stronger base, and despite that, it managed to grow well in Week 2. Rajasthan also stood out, rising from Rs. 0.54 crores to Rs. 0.95 crores, showing growth of around 75.9%.
The smaller circuits showed varied trends. Mysore grew by 33.3%, CI by 31%, Nizam by 28.6%, CP by 22.8%, West Bengal by 19.4% and TNK by 11.1%. Bihar-Jharkhand, Assam and Orissa remained flat, which means the film’s major growth is clearly concentrated in the North and key urban/multiplex-friendly markets rather than being uniformly spread across every pocket.
The data tells a clear story. Main Vaapas Aaunga has not merely held in Week 2; it has grown substantially. The film’s strongest momentum has come from Delhi-UP and East Punjab, suggesting that audience appreciation in the Hindi-speaking northern markets has played a major role in pushing the film ahead. With Mumbai also showing a strong jump, the film’s Week 2 performance now looks like a genuine word-of-mouth surge rather than a one-off spike.
In today’s box office scenario, where films often open well and then slow down rapidly, Main Vaapas Aaunga has followed the reverse pattern. It started modestly, gained traction and then expanded its audience in Week 2. The circuit-wise growth, especially in Delhi-UP and East Punjab, proves that the film has built momentum where it matters.
