World Cup fever has taken hold – with the tournament in North America heading into the knock-out stages.

Everyone is leaning in and McDonald’s are no different. The fast food chain has dropped a special menu for World Cup 2026 and a set of collectable cups.

The Maccies promo is running alongside this summer’s festival of football – and we’ve got all the details you need to know to get the full set.

How do you collect all the McDonald’s World Cup 2026 cups?

Every Big Mac, nine Chicken McNuggets or McPlant burger meal, either large or medium, that is bought at McDonald’s comes with a collectable World Cup 2026 cup that features one of six tournament ‘legends’ – though they are only available while stocks last.

To make getting the whole set a little trickier, the cups are randomly allocated so, unless you are lucky, it’s going to take more than six meals to get all six.

The McDonald’s World Cup 2026 cups promo started on Tuesday 9 June and is set to end on Monday 13 July.

That is six days before the tournament ends with the World Cup final on Sunday 19 July.

How many McDonald’s World Cup 2026 cups are there?

McDonald’s has confirmed that there are six World Cup 2026 cups to be collected.

Five of the cups feature an iconic footballer from the past or present, who have all made their mark on the sport’s biggest stage, while the McDonald’s mascot Grimace is on the sixth.

The full list is as follows:

  • Ex-England skipper David Beckham
  • Former Brazil playmaker Ronaldinho
  • Ex-France forward Thierry Henry
  • South Korea captain Son Heung-min
  • Spain star Lamine Yamal
  • McDonald’s mascot Grimace

In North America, USA attacker Christian Pulisic, Canada captain Alphonso Davies, and Mexico striker Santiago Giménez also feature.

McDonald’s World Cup 2026 cup codes

Eagle-eyed football fans and collectors have worked out that the blind packaging is coded, which means you can work out which cup is inside without opening it.

It’s the last two digits of the code that you need to look out for, as they reveal who is on the cup.

The list of codes is as follows:

  • -01: Grimace
  • -02: David Beckham
  • -03: Thierry Henry
  • -04: Ronaldinho
  • -05: Lamine Yamal
  • -06: Son Heung-min
