Netflix appears ready to return to the world of Money Heist, and fans are already trying to decode what comes next. A new teaser shared by the streamer hinted that the franchise is expanding again, sparking speculation about fresh spin-offs, possible returning characters, and even talk of Season 6.

Money Heist gets a new update about continuation of the story
The update arrived during the world premiere of Berlin Season 2 in Seville. Álvaro Morte, who played the Professor in the original series, confirmed that the Money Heist universe will continue on Netflix. The streamer also released a short teaser filled with references to past robberies from the hit Spanish franchise.
Netflix’s statement strongly hinted that this is bigger than just another season. “The revolution NEVER ends,” the company said while teasing that this new platform would become “mission control” for everything tied to the Money Heist world (via Variety).
Fans quickly started debating what the announcement actually means. Some believe Netflix may be developing multiple character-based spin-offs instead of Money Heist Season 6. Others think both ideas could happen together. One major clue from the teaser showed hands digging up a gold bar, a moment many viewers connected to the Bank of Spain storyline from the original series.
Reports from Spanish outlet El País also claimed that Vancouver Media, the production company led by creator Alex Pina, is already filming a four-episode miniseries focused on Colonel Tamayo, played by Fernando Cayo.
Originally titled La Casa de Papel, Money Heist became one of Netflix’s biggest global hits after the streamer picked it up from Spanish television. The crime drama followed a group of robbers led by the Professor as they carried out elaborate heists at the Royal Mint of Spain and later the Bank of Spain.
Viewers praised the show for its emotional storytelling, unpredictable twists, and memorable characters like Tokyo, Berlin, and Nairobi. The series currently holds an 8.2/10 rating on IMDb and a 94 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, while the Berlin spin-off helped keep interest in the franchise alive.
