“It’s not about who wins, it’s about having fun.” Paramount has revealed their official trailer for a comedy about a family called Finnegan’s Foursome, the latest comedy directed by Edward Burns. Burns loves making movies about family and how they can dysfunctional and problematic and annoying, but everyone still loves each other and they just need to work through the tough stuff. Two middle aged brothers and their respective sons travel over to Ireland to play the Finnegan Family’s annual golf outing, where they distribute the ashes of the family patriarch. What starts as a clash of egos, many old grudges, & comic misadventures becomes a week of unlikely bonding and hard-won warmth. Along the way, the Finnegans learn that family—like golf—takes patience, forgiveness, and a willingness to play through the rough. Written and directed by Burns, Finnegan’s Foursome also stars Edward Burns, with Brian d’Arcy James, Erica Hernandez, Brian Muller, and Ian McElhinney. All this drone cinematography in here is pretty fun – following their golf swings and the golf balls flying down the green. The film looks like it’s nice entertainment! Check it out.
