Julianna Margulies has joined the cast of Paradise season 3 in a recurring role.
The post-apocalyptic drama, which concluded its second run back in March, is expected to release its third season in 2027.
Details of Margulies’s (ER) role remain under wraps, according to Deadline, who first reported the casting, alongside plot details for the upcoming instalment.
Paradise was renewed for a third season back in March, with cast member Sterling K Brown announcing the news on Instagram.
Season 2 saw Xavier (Brown) searching for his wife Teri (Enuka Okuma) among the survivors on the Earth’s surface.

The finale left numerous questions unanswered as Xavier and Teri reunited and made it back to Colorado, only for the bunker housing Paradise to implode and kill off a major character.
Teasing what’s to come in season 3, Brown previously told TVLine: “There is something else, climate-wise, that shall transpire, that the people will have to deal with in season 3, that may be something — a catalyst for action.”

The third season will likely be the show’s last, with Creator Dan Fogelman having been clear that he sees Paradise having a three-season arc.
Alongside her role as Carol in the NCB medical drama ER, Margulies has also appeared on The Morning Show, Billions, The Hot Zone and Dietland.
