The final season of the Alan Tudyk-starrer sci-fi series is coming to Netflix early next month. The first three seasons were already streaming on the platform, and now, with the addition of the final installment, subscribers can watch the entire series in one place.

Resident Alien Season 4 arrives on Netflix in June
Resident Alien Season 4 will begin streaming on Netflix from Saturday, June 6, 2026 (via What’s on Netflix).
The show is based on a popular Dark Horse Comics series created by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, which ran between 2012 and 2024. It currently consists of eight miniseries across 39 issues. Meanwhile, Chris Sheridan, popular for co-producing Family Guy, created the TV series for Syfy.
Resident Alien follows an alien who crash-lands on Earth in a small town in Colorado. After killing and assuming the identity of a doctor named Harry Vanderspeigle, he tries to blend in with humans. Meanwhile, he works towards his mission of eliminating humanity. But as he spends more time in the town, he becomes involved in investigating local murders and forms emotional connections with people around him. This leads “Harry” to question his original mission.
Alan Tudyk headlines the show as the titular alien character. He is joined by Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, Levi Fiehler, Judah Prehn, Elizabeth Bowen, and Meredith Garretson.
Resident Alien premiered on Syfy on January 27, 2021, and ran for three seasons. The final season, however, was broadcast on USA Network, with the finale, titled “The End Is Here,” airing on August 8, 2025. Across all four seasons, the show received incredible reviews, with viewers praising nearly all aspects. Consequently, the show has maintained a near-perfect critics’ score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. The user score is slightly lower at 87%.
Reportedly, the show was close to cancellation after three Seasons, but was renewed for a fourth and final season. Reports suggest that, in addition to declining viewership, Season 4’s reduced budget and the migration from Syfy to USA Network were likely factors in the ultimate cancellation, per Deadline.
Despite this, Resident Alien ended on a satisfying note. So, subscribers who’ll watch it can rest assured they’ll be watching a complete series.
