Co-created by Big Bang Theory stewards Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, alongside The Avengers writer Zak Penn, the spin-off leans hard into genre world-building while keeping the sitcom heart of the original.
Lorre has said he wanted “to do something radical” that would take him out of his comfort zone, describing the spin-off as a show that the Big Bang Theory gang “would have loved, hated, and argued about”.

The 10-episode season rolls out weekly rather than as a single binge drop, with new instalments arriving each Thursday or Friday from that date, depending on where you are in the world.
The US launch time is reportedly 9pm ET / 6pm PT, which would equate to a 2am (BST) drop for UK-based viewers. Filming concluded in February 2026, with most details successfully kept secret.

Prady has described it as “a complex science fiction story” with “the kind of mythology that those characters love while maintaining the comedic elements”.
