Paramount+ has finally announced the release date for The Chi Season 8, the upcoming final installment of Lena Waithe‘s beloved drama series. This comes more than eight months after Season 7 concluded its 12-episode run.

“As The Chi enters its eighth and final season and its coldest winter ever, life or death choices must be made. The question becomes, who is willing to make them? Legacy, conflict, joy, and pain. It all collides in the biggest, most emotionally riveting way ever seen this season,” reads the show’s newest logline.
When is the Paramount+ release date for The Chi Season 8?
The Chi Season 8 is scheduled to premiere on Friday, May 22, exclusively on Paramount+. The 10-episode final season will roll out new episodes weekly every Friday. In addition to the release date announcement, the streamer has also shared the first Season 8 teaser, offering viewers a glimpse of what to expect from the final chapter.

The Chiis a timely coming-of-age story centering on a group of residents who become linked by coincidence but bonded by the need for connection and redemption.
