Rebecca Ferguson’s dystopian sci-fi series has seen a renewed interest among streaming audiences shortly after the teaser for Season 3 dropped. Based on a highly acclaimed fictional book series, the show is gearing up for its penultimate season.

Silo returns in Apple TV’s Top 10 ahead of Season 3 release
According to Flix Patrol’s April 22 report, the Rebecca Ferguson-led show Silo is the #10 series on Apple TV’s Top 10 list in the United States. Considering that the previous season debuted more than a year ago, the resurgence is likely due to Season 3, which is scheduled for July 3, 2026. A teaser for Silo Season 3 was released earlier this week.
As per Wednesday’s list, Jon Hamm’s Your Friends & Neighbors is leading the charts. Elle Fanning’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles sits at #2, Harrison Ford’s Shrinking at #4, and the Godzilla spin-off series, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, at #5.
Silo is based on Hugh Howey’s book series of the same name. The series includes three books: Wool, Shift, and Dust. While the Apple TV series has two seasons, it covers only the first book. Seasons 3 and 4 are expected to adapt the remaining two. Furthermore, the fourth installment will conclude the series.
The show takes place in a massive underground Silo where humanity lives under strict guidelines that protect them from a toxic environment outside. In the Season 2 finale, Juliette, having learned about the other Silos, returns to Silo 18 to prevent a rebellion. However, she and Bernard get stuck in the intenerator, leaving their fate uncertain. The episode ended with a glimpse of the past, where humanity was on the verge of a nuclear war.
The show’s cast features the Dune actress as Juliette, Common as Robert, Tim Robbins as Bernard, Chinaza Uche as Paul, Harriet Walter as Martha, Avi Nash as Lukas, and Rick Gomez as Patrick, among others.
Critically, the show currently has a 90% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It also earned two Primetime Emmy nominations in 2024.
