There’s a new Taskmaster cast in town!

As another run of the hilarious game show came to an end tonight (11 June), Channel 4 confirmed the new set of comics ready (or not) to take on the fiendish tasks set by Greg Davies and Little Alex Horne.
So without further ado, the Taskmaster season 22 line-up is Chloe Petts, Isy Suttie, Matt Lucas, Nina Conti and Richard Ayoade.
Petts is a stand-up comedian who has become a regular at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, while their TV work includes Have I Got News for You?, The Last Leg and the recent U&Dave escape room series The Way Out.
Suttie is best known for her role as Dobby in seminal British sitcom Peep Show, but has also had roles in Greg Davies’s comedy Man Down, Shameless and Skins – serving as a writer on the latter.

Lucas rose to fame working with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer on Shooting Stars, before going on to create Little Britain with comedy partner David Walliams, hosting The Great British Bake Off and starring as Nardole in Peter Capaldi’s era of Doctor Who.
Conti is a comedian who is most famous for her ventriloquism stand-up with her monkey puppet Monkey and audience masks, while she also fronted the documentary Her Master’s Voice and wrote and directed 2025 road-trip romcom Sunlight.
Ayoade’s TV credits include Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace, The IT Crowd and Last One Laughing UK, while he has hosted Gadget Man, Travel Man, The Crystal Maze and the BAFTA TV Awards, and is a regular on panel shows like Have I Got News for You, Big Fat Quiz and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Like so many before them, they all believe they can impress the Taskmaster, but only one can take home Davies’s majestic golden head.
No release date has been announced for Taskmaster season 22 yet, but it is expected to air later this year on Channel 4 on on YouTube internationally.
As for the future of Taskmaster, Horne recently told Radio Times that the show has cast its first Oscar winner for a future season, while he’s also teased a format shake-up further down the line.
“ People ask us about adding a Champion of Champion of Champions,” he told us earlier this year.
“I think, instead of that, we have got something up our sleeves in the near-ish future, of doing a slightly interesting series. It’s just some tweaks, but I can’t say any more than that. So [we have got] something. We’ve got something up our sleeve.”
