The finale of the Worlds of Doctor Who tale Dark Gallifrey: The Meddling Monksis now available from Big Finish, bringing the highly anticipated conclusion to the Monk’s (Rufus Hound) and the Nun’s (Gemma Whelan) adventures in the strange world they find themselves in. Listeners can also expect an appearance from a very special guest star – the Sixth Doctor, played by Colin Baker.

The Monk and the Nun have been living in this world for some time, but now they have started to notice that things aren’t quite right. Thinking that something more sinister is going on, the pair ask for a bit of help from the Sixth Doctor. Once he arrives, he tries to help find out how they got to this strange world and how they can escape. However, the biggest mystery that grabs the Doctor’s attention is why the mysterious John (played by John Finnemore) is so insistent on everyone being funny?
The two episodes in this finale are:
Monky Puzzle – Before the Doctor’s arrival, the Monk and the Nun try to compete in an international jigsaw competition. It’s a seemingly innocent and peaceful activity, so what could go wrong?
Monky About -There’s plenty of action when the Sixth Doctor arrives, possibly a few chases and explosions as well. But is there a threat to all life on Earth?

From L to R: Carrie Quinlan, John Finnemore, Rufus Hound, Simon Kane, and Becky Wright.
Part three of Dark Gallifrey: The Meddling Monks guest-stars the BBC Radio 4 comedy collaborators John Finnemore, Carrie Quinlan, and Simon Kane,as well as Becky Wright.
Colin Baker said: “The script read like enormous fun, and itwas! It’s quite rare for the Doctor to be involved in something so fanciful. One can dive in andluxuriate in the sheer pantomimic. Working with Rufus and Gemma has been lovely. I am so old, I remember the original Meddling Monk, Peter Butterworth, so for me, he is a very familiar, warm, inviting character. It’s lovely to have him back, and Rufus and Gemma do it with great joy and brio.”

Dark Gallifrey: The Meddling Monks – Part Threeis available to purchase now for £8.99 for the download, or £10.99 for the limited collector’s edition CD. Bundles for the complete Dark Gallifreyseries are also available on site.
