It’s certainly been a bumpy road for Vex’ahlia de Rolo (Vex) and Percival de Rolo (AKA Lord Percival Fredrickstein von Musel Klossowski de Rolo III) in The Legend of Vox Machina, who have faced everything from the Briarwoods, Dr Anna Ripley and the demon Orthax to the devastating threat of the Chroma Conclave.

However, one year on from ending the powerful dragons, the pair, voiced by Laura Bailey and Taliesin Jaffe, have seemingly settled down in a life of domesticity, taking on the mantle of Lord and Lady de Rolo of Whitestone in season 4.
Following such a tumultuous journey, will the doting duo finally get a brief respite from their trauma and constant peril in the fourth season?
Speaking exclusively to Radio Times, Bailey said: “I’m just happy to get to see their casual, intimate moments. And getting to see Percy a little peaceful for once.”
Jaffe added: “Especially the regal version of Vex is really fun. I was looking forward to seeing the version of her with social power finally, quietly getting back at her father every moment of every day.”
However, it doesn’t appear that domestic bliss is quite on the cards just yet. Despite adjusting to life as nobles and even hosting lavish balls, Vex and Percy soon find themselves facing a fresh set of challenges, with Bailey teasing that Percy becomes “troubled in a different way”.

And the addition of fan favourite character Taryon Darrington (voiced by Wayne Brady) also shakes up their once-peaceful dynamic further.
He told Radio Times about Percy’s amusing arc with the artificer: “It started with a genuine, complete loathing of this just terrible mirror of what Percy considered the worst thing that can happen to moneyed children.”
When elaborating on their evolving dynamic, he commented: “Percy suddenly feels a lot smarter and a lot more confident having someone who actually understands what he’s getting at. And yeah, it led to just bigger and better things for the characters.”
He also teased that he’s “so excited” for fans to “see the inventions and the contraptions and everything we get to build in the ways we get to be smarter against the villains”.
