A year and a half after its first season debuted, Paramount+ thriller series The Crow Girl is returning for its second season, with a release date having now been confirmed.
The six-episode second season will officially debut on the streamer on Monday 20 July 2026.
This news was confirmed along with the release of first-look images, which give us new glimpses of Torchwood‘s Eve Myles as DCI Jeanette Kilburn and Mr Bates vs The Post Office‘s Katherine Kelly as Dr Sophia Craven.
Other stars seen in the images include Elliot Edusah, Victoria Hamilton and Peter de Jersey, all of whom are returning from the cast of the first season.
The synopsis for season 2 says that it “sees DCI Jeanette Kilburn’s hunt for the killers of young male asylum seekers take a shocking new turn, as a mummified body discovered in a church wall, and a body in a freezer, reveal a chilling connection”.
The synopsis continues: “As Jeanette digs deeper, Dr Sophia Craven begins to suspect Victoria Burkeman, her mysterious and unstable former patient could be responsible. With the case growing darker, Sophia suspects Victoria is more familiar than she thought, and Jeanette must face the terrifying truth: the killer may be closer than she ever imagined.”
When The Crow Girl was first renewed for season 2, screenwriter and executive producer Milly Thomas said in a statement: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to jump back into the world of The Crow Girl.

The first season also starred Dougray Scott, but fans who have already seen the first season won’t be surprised that he is not currently expected to return, given the events of that run.
