England continue their World Cup campaign on Wednesday as Thomas Tuchel’s side face DR Congo in the round of 32 in Atlanta.
The Three Lions topped Group L on seven points after beating Croatia and Panama while drawing with Ghana; however, many fans were left unconvinced by a couple of their performances.
England reached the semi-finals and the quarter-finals at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups respectively and Tuchel’s men will be expecting to reach the final eight at a minimum this summer.
DR Congo, who drew against Portugal and beat Uzbekistan in Group K to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams, are into the knockout stages for the first time in their history.
If England win on Wednesday, they’ll face either Mexico or Ecuador in the round of 16 in the early hours of Monday morning. That would then set up a potential quarter-final showdown against Brazil.
