Coming from behind twice in a five-setter is hardly the ideal way to start your Wimbledon defence but Jannik Sinner was still smiling at the end of his first-round match on Centre Court.

The Italian, who is the heavy favourite in the absence of Carlos Alcaraz, was given an early scare by Miomir Kecmanović in a display packed with both winners and mistakes.
Sinner started the year in relentless form but will have a point to prove after suffering early exits at the Australian Open and French Open due to struggles in the heat, which could be a factor at the Championships.
Even so, the World No.1 is the player to beat as he hunts a fifth major title in the men’s singles.
Radio Times brings you all the details about Jannik Sinner’s next match at Wimbledon 2026.
