Belgium play New Zealand in their final Group G clash in Vancouver on Saturday morning with Rudi Garcia’s men closing in on a round of 32 place.

The Red Devils have had an underwhelming tournament so far as they’ve played out two draws against Egypt (1-1) and Iran (0-0).
Despite their slow start, Belgium are still likely to book their place in the knockout stages. Belgium can actually top the group if they beat New Zealand by three or more goals and Egypt draw with Iran.
The most likely scenario is Belgium finishing second behind Egypt. That’ll happen if Garcia’s side beat New Zealand and Egypt beat Iran. That would see Belgium face Australia or Paraguay in the round of 32.
New Zealand, who are making just their third World Cup appearance, simply have to beat Belgium if they are to have any hope of reaching the knockout stages. If they win and Iran fail to beat Egypt, New Zealand will finish second in Group G.
