Scotland face Brazil in Miami on Wednesday night in their final Group C game, with Steve Clarke’s side closing in on a spot in the last 32.

The Scots, who are taking part in a World Cup for the first time since 1998, are currently third in Group C behind Brazil and Morocco.
Clarke’s men beat the now-eliminated Haiti 1-0 in their opener before losing 1-0 against Morocco last time out and a draw against Brazil will likely be good enough to book their spot in the knockout stages for the first time ever.
If Scotland lose against Brazil they’ll finish on three points with a negative goal difference. That could still be enough to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams but they’ll be sweating on results elsewhere.
Five-time World Cup winners Brazil, who drew 1-1 with Morocco in their opener before beating Haiti 3-0, are top of Group C ahead of Morocco on goal difference.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side will be aware that Morocco should dominate against Haiti in the other Group C game, meaning Brazil might have to put a few past Scotland to confirm top spot to set up a last 32 clash against either Sweden, Japan, or the Netherlands.
