Novak Djokovic has made a winning start to his quest for a record-breaking 25th major title at Wimbledon.

The Serbian beat China’s Yibing Wu on Centre Court in four sets on Monday to move into the second round, where he’ll take on a familiar foe in Stefanos Tsitsipas. The pair have faced 14 times, with the 39-year-old winning 12 of those meetings.
Djokovic has won seven of his Grand Slam crowns at the All England Club but arrives in SW19 this year with his joint-lowest seeding (seven) at a major for eight years.
Even so, former Wimbledon semi-finalist and BBC broadcaster Tim Henman gives the 39-year-old “a realistic chance of winning a record-breaking 25th major title” at the Championships this year.
He told Radio Times: “Djokovic thrives on grass and the surface is less physically demanding, which at his age is important.”
Radio Times brings you all the details about Novak Djokovic’s next match at Wimbledon 2026.
