It’s safe to say that the WWE Universe is still recovering from the fallout of WrestleMania 42’s first night of action. Yes, it was a night of thrills that saw the return of Paige, a brutal showdown between Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre, and an absolute barn-burner from Seth Rollins and Gunther. It also closed the evening out with a brutal showdown between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, in which Rhodes retained his WWE Championship but Orton left him a bloodied mess in the ring to end the show.

While certainly a divisive event, the 42nd-annual Showcase of the Immortals once again got the world talking, and you can bet that it’s going to do the same with Night 2 – which is headlined by the heavily-anticipated battle between Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns and World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. WrestleMania 42 Night 2 airs on Sunday, April 19, at 6:00 p.m. ET, 3:00 p.m. PT, 5:00 p.m. CT, and 4:00 p.m. MT. It will stream on ESPN in the US (with the first hour airing on ESPN2) while being available to stream on Netflix internationally. The start time for WrestleMania is always earlier than the normal WWE PLE due to it being quite literally the grandest stage of them all – which has always been so much longer than the typical WWE PLE (hence the earlier release time).

WrestleMania 42 Night 2 expected runtime

WrestleMania is undoubtedly WWE’s longest PLE. That’s always been the case, but it has become so much longer in recent years due to the fact that it’s a two-night event. And yet, that has often resulted in each of the Saturday and Sunday night shows being a little shorter (as the action can be spaced out across two nights).

Taking that into account, Sunday’s WrestleMania 42 Night 2 will be around 4 hours long. Ever since WWE began hosting the event across two nights, the Saturday and Sunday shows often make up a combined 7 – 8 hours, with each of the respective nights being around 3.5 – 4 hours. Saturday evening’s broadcast ran for 3 hours and 55 minutes, so it’s fair to say that Sunday’s will do the same. And even though there are less matches this time around, the Night 1 matches were unusually short. That probably won’t happen again here, and you can rest assured that the Punk / Reigns main event will be given plenty of time to breathe.

WrestleMania 42 Night 2 match card

While Saturday’s event divided audiences, there were some awesome matches that lived up to expectations (Rollins and Gunther, in particular). However, some of WrestleMania 42’s most anticipated matches take place on Sunday instead, with the Night 2 card featuring the biggest battle of all in Roman Reigns and CM Punk.

It’s long been tradition that the winner of the Royal Rumble headlines WrestleMania and Roman Reigns gets to do that again after winning this year’s 30-man battle in January. He will finally face off against CM Punk, who he has crossed paths with plenty of times throughout his long WWE career. And with Punk now back in WWE these past two years, he finally gets the chance to headline WrestleMania Sunday for the first time in his career. The added stipulation that Reigns will leave the company if he loses just adds to the edge-of-seat thrills that this Clash of the Titans is already sure to provide us with.

So, having said all of that, let’s dive into the FULL match card for WrestleMania 42 Night 2 (Sunday), noting any stipulations that each of the matches might have as we go.

Looking at that card, it’s hard to see beyond Reigns vs. Punk. The match is sure to be the biggest, most thrilling of the night – both due to the pair’s long, storied history and the fact that they are both such consistently strong regulars of the main event scene. It’s going to be epic in scale, size, and storytelling – and we have no doubt that the quality of the wrestling itself will also exceed expectations.

That being said, there are some other matches on the card that have audiences intrigued. Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar is sure to be a physical clash of two monsters from two different generations. Rumor has it that Lesnar’s time with WWE might be winding down, so could it be time for him to pass the Beast torch to Femi? This is the main who defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania 12 years ago, so you can bet that he won’t go down without a fight. But one way or another, this one is going to be a fight!

Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley’s Women’s Championship battle is going to be another fight. These two warriors know how to get physical and, with the gold on the line, the pair are going to have no problem delivering another epic clash on the Grandest Stage of them All.

And speaking of Grand, we will finally see the grand return of The Demon as Finn Bálor reawakens his dark side to take on former Judgment Day partner Dominik Mysterio. It’s been years since we’ve seen The Demon and this presents Bálor with a chance to catapult himself back into the main event picture after far too long away from it. Will there be hell to pay for Dominik Mysterio tonight? Quite possibly. But will these two put on a classic? Absolutely!

While the Saturday night show was a spectacle for the ages, something tells us that the best is yet to come from WrestleMania 42. Get ready for an incredible night!
