Georgia Bernstein’s debut psychosexual thriller Night Nurse drops its first trailer. The upcoming movie explores a sinister side of caregiving.

The official synopsis for Night Nurse reads, “At the start of her new job in a luxury retirement community, Eleni (Cemre Paksoy) is drawn into a series of scam calls targeting the elderly residents, a pull she can’t quite name or resist. As the community’s strange rhythms close around her, she grows increasingly intimate with her elusive patient, Douglas (Bruce McKenzie), until the line blurs between care and desire, devotion and delusion.”

What do we see in the Night Nurse trailer?
The Night Nurse trailer depicts caregiving as both vocation and compulsion, and the fine, dangerous line between them. The cast features Cemre Paksoy (The Affair, Snugglr), Bruce McKenzie (Breaking Bad), and Eléonore Hendricks in crucial roles. Additional members include Colleen Rose Trundy and Mimi Rogers (Ginger Snaps).
The story has been written by director Bernstein, who also produced Night Nurse alongside Edwin Linker and Liane Cunje. Veronica Barbosa, Georgia Bernstein, and Lucy Rogers are also serving as producers. Eddie Linker, Eric Ashworth, Stephen Lanus, and Amar Gupta are the executive producers.
Earlier this month, Independent Film Company acquired the U.S. and Canadian rights to the erotic thriller movie. It had its premiere at the Sundance Festival earlier this year.

“Georgia is an incredibly exciting talent whose debut feature drew us in from the very first frame,” said Independent Film Company’s Rachael Labes while praising the director for the film. “It’s rare to encounter such bold and boundary-pushing filmmaking, and we’re thrilled to bring it to audiences this summer.”
“I couldn’t be more grateful to the team at IFC for championing‘Night Nurse’ and bringing it to theaters this summer,” said Bernstein while sharing her emotions on the project.
Night Nurse will hit theaters on July 10, 2026.
