As its nine-episode first season continues to air weekly, Paramount+ has officially confirmed that Yellowstone spin-off Dutton Ranch has been renewed for a second season.

This should hardly be a surprise – the series has been a huge ratings hit for the platform, amassing 12.9 million viewers globally in the 7 days following its premiere to become the biggest original series launch in the streamer’s history.
The series has been following Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler, as they have been fighting to build a future together in South Texas.
On the news of the show’s renewal, Jane Wiseman, head of originals for Paramount+, said in a statement: “Beth and Rip are among the most iconic duos in television history and we are thrilled to bring a whole new world to life with Dutton Ranch for our subscribers around the world.
“We’re also incredibly grateful to our partners, including the teams at Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, for bringing this new series to life with such grit, heart and authenticity.”

Meanwhile, Matt Thunell, president of Paramount Television Studios, added: “Dutton Ranch has resonated with audiences in a powerful way, building on the legacy of beloved characters, while establishing its own identity.
“Thank you to our partners at Paramount+ and 101 Studios for a phenomenal first season. We look forward to bringing fans more stories from these unforgettable characters in season 2.”

Dutton Ranch also stars Ed Harris, Annette Bening, Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, JR Villarreal, Marc Menchaca and Natalie Alyn Lind, and is one of two ongoing series in the Yellowstone franchise.
The other, Marshals, follows Luke Grimes’s Kayce Dutton, and aired its first season earlier this year. That show has also been renewed for a second season, which is currently in production.
Dutton Ranch airs on Paramount+ on Fridays.
