Director Ahmed Khan has shared an exciting new update about his upcoming comedy entertainer Welcome to the Jungle, which continues to generate massive buzz ahead of its theatrical release. Featuring a huge ensemble cast led by Akshay Kumar, the film is slated to hit cinemas on June 26, 2026.

Ahmed Khan reveals Welcome to the Jungle has five songs; calls producer Firoz Nadiadwala ‘gutsy’ for backing mega-scale entertainer

The makers have already unveiled two songs from the film — the energetic title track and ‘Ghis Ghis’, which has been receiving appreciation for its rustic Bhojpuri flavour and never-seen-before avatar of Akshay Kumar. With audiences already reacting positively to the music, Ahmed Khan has now revealed that the film will feature a total of five songs, including elaborate short musical pieces designed to enhance the storytelling experience.

Speaking about the scale and musical treatment of the film, Ahmed Khan said, “This is a dark humour film and has 5 interesting songs and elaborate short songs as well that elevates the entire feel of the film. I must appreciate our producer Firoz bhai for backing this mega vision and he has always been very gutsy to never back down in spite of the hurdles and ensure the film is perfectly how and what we wanted. The songs are very thoughtfully crafted and choreographed keeping the humor in mind. Welcome to the Jungle is a complete masala package and I am very proud of this project.”

The filmmaker’s statement has further heightened curiosity around the project, especially considering the franchise’s popularity among comedy lovers. Known for combining slapstick humour, chaotic storytelling, and ensemble casts, the Welcome franchise has maintained a loyal fan base over the years. Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film also stars an impressive lineup including Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Aftab Shivdasani, Paresh Rawal, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani among others.
