Simone Ashley on if she’ll return for Bridgerton Season 5
Simone Ashley has suggested that a return to Bridgerton remains very much on the table, indicating that she would be willing to work around her schedule if the opportunity arises. As of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding her involvement in Season 5.
Ashley, who plays Kate Sharma opposite Jonathan Bailey’s Anthony Bridgerton, spoke about how both she and her co-star have consistently made an effort to remain part of the series. “I can only comment on what me and Jonny have done. We just really make sure that our schedules can just make it work,” she said on The Louis Theroux Podcast.
The actress also highlighted Bailey’s efforts to balance his commitments, explaining that he traveled frequently between Toronto and London while filming Wicked to appear in the fourth season. She added, “[Bailey] set a great example of—for lack of a better word—the loyalty to the show. It is a show about family and returning home and returning to the family.”
Ashley also reflected on her own schedule, noting how demanding it has been in recent months. “Thank God I’ve not been filming during the start of this year. I’ve done like eight cities in one month. So that would have been a bit nuts to figure out.” Despite those challenges, she maintained that she would still have made it work. Ashley said, “But I would have done it. I would have scheduled it.”
Beyond logistics, the actress emphasized the emotional connection she shares with the series. “When we go back, there is that environment of coming home and feeling like we’re part of a family.” Most recently, Bridgerton Season 4 focused on the love story between Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek.
