A dramatic confrontation has aired between Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances Brown) in Coronation Street.

It all stems from Jodie’s attack on Sarah earlier this year, which conveniently took place on the same night that Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) was murdered – and therefore gave killer Sarah an alibi.
For weeks, Jodie allowed Sarah to believe that it was some of her dodgy former associates who attacked her, but a throwaway comment about David the dog barking has seemingly confirmed the truth.
In tonight’s episode, Sarah was determined to find out the details about the night of her attack, particularly given just moments before, she’d whacked Theo over the head with a scaffolding pole. The last thing she needs is new, damning information to come to light, which could effectively thrust her into the police spotlight.
DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) also wanted to discuss the events again, and wanting to keep a watchful eye over proceedings, Jodie invited them both into No. 8.

Sarah recalls the events of the evening, adamant that it took place at 9:10pm, and that she heard the pooch barking in the back garden. Jodie watched on nervously, and when Lisa headed back to the station, revealed the truth.
However, when Sarah threatened to call the police, Jodie fired back with her own warning.
She said that the her timings didn’t quite add up, and suggested that she was maybe with Gary Windass (Mikey North) that night. Sarah has been desperate to keep Gary out of the equation, especially since he seems to be taking the rap for Theo’s murder.
Thinking on her feet, Sarah challenged Jodie about the bizarre trinket box that she was in possession of, though the pair were soon interrupted by David Platt (Jack P Shepherd). He said that while they were bickering, they’d forgot to shut the gate and had allowed the dog to escape.
Although the drama calmed down, it certainly hadn’t fizzled out.
Later that night, in the Rovers, Sarah spelled out to Jodie that she wouldn’t report her to the police, as long as she didn’t speak up about Gary’s whereabouts on that fateful evening.
Will Jodie comply to Sarah’s demands?
