Every single match – and there are 104 fixtures in what is the biggest World Cup ever – will be shown live on either BBC or ITV.
Gary Lineker may no longer be at the helm of the Beeb’s coverage but never fear, there is a top-quality cast of presenters, pundits, and commentators to take you through every twist and turn the tournament has to offer.
Radio Times brings you all the details on how to watch BBC coverage of the World Cup 2026.

How to watch the World Cup 2026 on BBC
The BBC is set to show 54 matches throughout this summer’s tournament in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The majority of games will be broadcast live on BBC One, though other channels will be used for the final round of group stage matches when games kick off simultaneously.
Viewers can also tune in to watch on BBC iPlayer or the BBC Sport website on a range of platforms, including laptops, mobiles, and tablets.
All 104 games at World Cup 2026 will be broadcast free-to-air, with BBC and ITV splitting the coverage for UK fans – though both will show the final.
England and Scotland World Cup 2026 games on BBC
BBC will show England’s second Group L match against Ghana, as well as, assuming they make it, their fixtures in the round of 32, round of 16, and semi-finals.
The broadcaster will also have live coverage of two of Scotland’s games in Group C – their opener against Haiti, which is their first World Cup fixture since 1998, and their final group match against Brazil.
