Helen Flanagan has expressed her desire to return to Coronation Street, though soap bosses are yet to reach out.
Flanagan first appeared on the cobbles as Rosie Webster back in 2000 and she certainly faced trials and tribulations while in Weatherfield, including having an affair with teacher John Stape (Graeme Hawley), who then kidnapped her.
She officially left the soap in 2018 when Rosie was offered a job in Japan, and has not reprised her role since, but she’s keen to do so.
“I really want to go back, but they just have not asked me,” she told the Daily Star. “If the cobbles come calling, I would love to. I am literally just down the road, but sadly, they have not yet.”
In the interview, Flanagan said she is keen focus on acting after working in theatre for five months, saying: “I’d really like to continue building on that side of my career.”

Though if Corrie isn’t on the table, Flanagan admitted she’d happily join another soap and has her sights set on Waterloo Road.
“I think I’d be good in Waterloo Road,” she told the publication. “I’d probably play either a mum or a teacher. I think that would suit me well.”
This isn’t the first time Flanagan has expressed an interest in returning to Coronation Street, with the actress telling The Sun last year that there was a possibility of her return.
“I can’t say too much, but it could be possible that I could go back,” she said. “I get on with everyone there. There’s nothing personal going on.”
She added: “It changed my life so much and my loyalty is with them. I feel like Rosie’s a part of me. They do need me. They do need Rosie.”
