Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) is pretty certain that he knows what Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) is hiding in Coronation Street.

For weeks, Sarah and ex-boyfriend Gary Windass (Mikey North) have been hiding something. On the surface, it seemed like they were having an affair, leading to his wife Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) to address her concerns in last night’s episode.
A dinner party hosted by Sarah and boyfriend Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) turned seriously sour, particularly when she and Gary were unable to fully explain what it was they were keeping secret.
A flashback then revealed to us viewers that Sarah was the one who murdered Todd’s husband Theo Silverton (James Cartwright).
Following a heated confrontation, she whacked him over the head with some scaffolding and then called up Gary for help.

In today’s episode, he called by at Audrey’s Salon to see Maria. She hadn’t spoken to him all night, following his insistence that she was wrong and his unwillingness to reveal the real secret.
Meanwhile, Sarah was relieved to hear that Kit had eyed up Gary as his chief suspect in the murder investigation, though couldn’t help but think of the consequences. His whole world would come crashing down if he was charged with the crime.
With Kit out of the room, Sarah was stunned to find a ring box in his bag. He walked in, and was forced to explain that he was planning to propose.
He thought that son Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) had divulged his desire to pop the question, and told Sarah that she’d have to wait a little bit longer so that he could find the right time to do it.
Could it be that he’s also having doubts over her relationship with Gary?

Todd then arrived at the flat, saying that he’d come to his own conclusion about what’s going on – Gary killed Theo, she found out, and is now trying to protect him.
A furious Sarah asserted that he was deeply wrong, and that the last thing that she wanted was to see another innocent person sent down for a crime they didn’t commit. Of course, this is something that happens quite often in Weatherfield!
She stormed off to her bedroom in tears, but could this outburst leave Todd questioning why she became so emotional?
