Saturday Night Live UK has confirmed the hosts and musical guests for its final two episodes, with Hannah Waddingham and Ncuti Gatwa set to close out the first season.
Ted Lasso favourite Waddingham will host the penultimate episode on Saturday 9 May, joined by singer-songwriter and BRIT Award winner Myles Smith as musical guest.
The following week, Doctor Who star Gatwa will take on hosting duties for the season finale on Saturday 16 May, with indie-pop singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone set to perform.
Before then, this Saturday’s episode will be hosted by BAFTA-winning Sex Education and The White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood, with music from British breakthrough artist MEEK.
The first season has already welcomed a string of major names, with Tina Fey launching the run before Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, Jack Whitehall and Nicola Coughlan all stepped up to host. Musical guests so far have included Wet Leg, Wolf Alice, Kasabian, Jorja Smith and Foo Fighters.
SNL UK arrived with plenty of attention thanks to its connection to the original US series, which was created by Lorne Michaels and has been running since 1975.
Its ratings have also been closely watched, with the Tina Fey-hosted launch reaching 528,000 viewers after seven days, while the fourth episode, hosted by Jack Whitehall, drew 371,700 viewers, though the series has also made a significant impact online with more than 86 million social media views reported by Sky.
SNL UK’s inaugural cast is made up of Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.
Saturday Night Live UK airs live on Saturdays at 10pm on Sky and NOW.
