The two top teams in Group L – England and Ghana – face off at the Boston Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The prize on offer in the first meeting at a World Cup between the pair? A place in the knock-out stages of the tournament.
Victory in Boston will guarantee passage to the round of 32 and should be enough to seal top spot as well.

England are the favourites to do just that and will look to build on what was, while exciting, a far-from-perfect performance against Croatia in their opener.
Ghana left it late to beat Panama 1-0 but can expect to do a lot more defending against the Three Lions, which may mean a tactical shake-up.
But who can we expect to see when the starting XIs are announced? Radio Times brings you the predicted team news for England v Ghana at World Cup 2026.

England v Ghana team news
England have been boosted by some positive injury news ahead of Tuesday evening’s game.
Captain Harry Kane, key midfielder Declan Rice, and forward Marcus Rashford have eased fears over fitness issues, while winger Bukayo Saka has returned to full training with the rest of the squad.
Saka was not fit enough to start against Croatia, with Noni Madueke taking his place, and it would not be a surprise if Tuchel took the same approach against Ghana.
The Black Stars are set to have midfielder Thomas Partey available after he missed their opener as he was denied entry to Canada after failing to disclose ongoing criminal proceedings in the UK. Partey denies rape and sexual assault allegations against him.
They could be without first-choice goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi, who was forced off at halftime against Panama with an injury.
England v Ghana predicted line-ups
England: Pickford; James, Stones, Guehi, O’Reilly; Anderson, Rice; Madueke, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane
Ghana: Asare; Senaya, Adjetey, Opoku, Mensah; Yirenki, Partey; Fatawu, Sulemana, Semenyo; Ayew
