“Here’s the thing. My cousin and I have very different ideas about what it means to be a hero…” And she’s ready to kick butt. Warner Bros & DC have unveiled one final official trailer for this summer’s Supergirl movie, the follow-up to James Gunn’s Superman last year. Smashing into theaters at the end of June! So get your tickets & get ready for an emotional adventure. This looks like it might turn out pretty fun! Supergirl is directed by Craig Gillespie (of I, Tonya, Cruella) as seen in this behind-the-scenes featurette. When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion. Kara celebrates her 21st birthday by travelling across the galaxy with her dog Krypto. She meets Ruthye Marye Knoll and encounters a tragedy that leads her on a murderous quest for revenge – to find and save her dog, Krypto. Milly Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El, with a cast including Eve Ridley, Matthias Schoenaerts, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet as Supes, as well as Jason Momoa as Lobo –who finally gets a bunch of scenes in this trailer. Not sure why their isn’t more buzz for this –it looks like an exciting adventure with a brand new kind of hero! And playing against last year’s Superman movie, this gritty, no-holds-barred sci-fi action movie seems like it has plenty to offer.
