We’re now half way through the six episodes of Half Man, have the third instalment having been made available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
The third episode sees Niall facing a dilemma, as he is pushed by Ruben, Lori and Maura to lie in court about the incident between Alby and Ruben in episode 2 – but will he go through with it?
In the first three episodes, Ruben and Niall have been played by Stuart Campbell and Mitchell Robertson, with the characters also being briefly seen in their older years, as played by Richard Gadd and Jamie Bell. Now, from episode 4, Gadd and Bell are taking over full time.
But with plenty more story to tell leading up to that explosion of violence on Niall’s wedding day, when will the next instalment be released?

When is Half Man episode 4 released on BBC iPlayer and BBC One?
After beginning its run at 6am on BBC iPlayer on Friday 24 April, the show is now following a weekly release schedule on the platform.
That means that Half Man episode 4 will be released at 6am on Friday 15 May 2026 on BBC iPlayer.
Meanwhile, it will also get a transmission on BBC One, airing at 10:40pm on Tuesday 19 May 2026.
Half Man release schedule – When are new episodes out?
Episodes of Half Man are being released weekly on BBC iPlayer at 6am on Fridays, starting from Friday 24 April. This lines up with the show’s release on HBO in the US, where the show is being released at 9pm ET on Thursdays, starting from Thursday 23 April. This is 2am BST UK time.
Episodes are also set to get a release on BBC One in the UK, but this won’t come until the following Tuesday, in a timeslot after 10pm. Time slots have so far been confirmed for the first four weeks, with the scheduling for subsequent episodes set to follow.
Given this, the show’s full release schedule on BBC iPlayer is as follows:
- Half Man episode 1 – Friday 24 April 2026, 6am (out now)
- Half Man episode 2 – Friday 1 May 2026, 6am (out now)
- Half Man episode 3 – Friday 8 May 2026, 6am (out now)
