ITV’s brand new game show The Neighbourhood is taking family and neighbourly dynamics and putting them under the spotlight – all for a major cash prize.

Hosted by Graham Norton, the new series will see six households move into KeepYourEnemies Close — a mantra players will want to live by if they’re set to win.
While they can get close to each other over a coffee at the café, or unwind at the end of the day with a pint down the Uppin Arms pub, they’re never too far away from trouble.
So, how exactly does the game work? Here’s everything you need to know about The Neighbourhood, and how much is at stake.
What is the prize?
The grand prize for The Neighbourhood is a staggering £250,000.
The prize will go to the household, but there are no rules or stipulations in place about how the groups decide to split the money.
While some, like The Uni Boys, have shared they plan to split the money equally if they win, others are either planning on something together with the cash, or one of the family members taking the lion’s share.

What happens in the game?
In The Neighbourhood, six households move into KeepYourEnemies Close – where they will remain for up to three weeks.
During those three weeks, they will get to know each other via a series of social events and games.
Host Graham Norton will maintain contact with the households via a group WhatsApp chat, alerting them to things going on.
The Neighbourhood is largely a game of popularity, so the more liked you are by your fellow competitors, the better.
How are households eliminated from The Neighbourhood?
Across the 12 episodes, the households will have to face the removal – and it’s as brutal as it sounds.
Here’s how the removal will go down. Each house will decide amongst themselves who they want to remove, before one representative is sent out in the square to declare who they’ve chosen.
The way they show who they’ve picked is by taking a huge ‘for sale’ sign and planting it right on the lawn of the house they’ve chosen.
Each house can watch the decision play out from inside their homes.
Once every house has cast their vote, the household with the most signs will be eliminated – with a bright blue removal van coming in, packing them up, and taking them away.
Speaking about The Removals, Graham said: “The removals you did really feel for the households. It’s horrible to stand there and watch someone put a for sale sign in front of their house.
“Watching it though, I loved seeing the reactions of the people who were still in their houses watching people walk towards them with a for sale sign. I loved that, it’s a genius bit of telly, it’s really compelling!”

Can The Neighbourhood households get immunity?
Yes! The only way to ensure your household’s safety in The Neighbourhood is by winning the games laid out in the Square.
All of the games are appropriately Neighbourhood-themed.
One involves a seven-metre long washing line families will have to spin on while answering questions, while another involves more than 2,500 gnomes scattered across the green and forest.
There’s also a ‘turbo-charged curtain twitching game’ where they have to keep an eye out for what’s going on at night.
Let the games begin!
The Neighbourhood starts Friday 24 April at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
